1. Information We Collect
We are committed to data minimization and only collect information necessary to provide our services. We categorize data collection as follows:
1.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
- Task Data: All tasks, notes, categories, schedules, and related content you create are stored exclusively on your device using Apple's secure on-device storage. We do not have access to this data.
- App Preferences: Your settings, preferences, and customizations are stored locally on your device.
- Focus Session History: Records of your focus timer sessions remain on your device.
1.2 Information Processed Temporarily
- Voice Input: When you use voice input, audio is processed entirely on your device using Apple's Speech Recognition framework. Voice recordings are never transmitted to our servers or stored.
- AI Task Parsing: When you use AI-powered task parsing, the text you enter is sent to our secure servers via encrypted connection (TLS 1.3) for processing. This text is processed in real-time and is not stored, logged, or retained after the response is generated. We do not use your input to train AI models.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal identification information (name, email, phone number) unless you contact us for support
- We do not collect location data
- We do not collect device identifiers for tracking purposes
- We do not collect usage analytics or behavioral data
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or other device data
2. How We Use Your Information
The limited information we process is used solely for:
- Service Delivery: Processing your natural language input to generate structured tasks
- Service Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics (e.g., total API calls) to monitor service health
- Customer Support: Responding to your inquiries when you contact us
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage
Your task data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage mechanisms. This data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID) and is encrypted at rest.
3.2 Data Transmission Security
When AI features are used, data is transmitted using:
- TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit
- Secure, authenticated API endpoints
- No persistent storage of transmitted data
3.3 Data Retention
We do not retain your task content or personal data on our servers. AI processing occurs in real-time with no data persistence. Aggregated, non-identifiable metrics (e.g., daily API request counts) may be retained for service monitoring.
4. Third-Party Services
Our App integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:
- Apple App Store: Handles app distribution and in-app purchases. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat: Manages subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat receives anonymized purchase data from Apple. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access and Portability: Your task data is stored on your device and accessible to you at any time.
- Deletion: You can delete all app data by uninstalling the App or clearing app data in device settings.
- Opt-Out of AI Features: You can use the App without AI features by manually entering tasks.
- Data Export: Your data remains on your device and can be backed up through iCloud if enabled.
6. Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to delete such information.
7. International Data Transfers
If you access the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of information to the United States, which may have different data protection rules than your country.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
- Updating the "Last updated" date at the top
- Providing notice through the App for significant changes
